The design process is how we go from having some kind of basic idea in our minds from discovering or getting inspired by someones art form wether it be interactive or painting to getting at the screen and getting down some graphic design from deep imagination. A common challenge for all creative designers is managing the creative workflow. Most creative teams and individuals are better at creating than juggling timelines and approvals. The design process is not unlike other communication processes. If you are familiar with this, the last touch of the design is critical as there will inevitably be the need to go further into oblivion.
Should you Sketch?
The first part of any design piece or project, print or digital, should start on paper. Sketching can be an integral part of any design process — even if you can’t draw. But who needs to sketch? Just artists and illustrators are required to put pen to paper, right?
